Bamboo & Horse Hair
Dry Skin Brush
Health Benefits:
Regular dry skin brushing for lymphatic health is extremely helpful for stimulating flow of the lymph and blood, exfoliating dead skin cells, supporting healthy immune function, reducing swelling and puffiness, increasing overall energy circulation, and invigorating the nervous system, while also reducing stress. These practices have an ancient origins found in Ayurveda, Greek, Roman, Japanese, as well as Native American traditions. Dry brushing on bare skin is best, and important to avoid use on inflamed, broken skin, or sensitive areas. Light pressure is preferred. It is also recommended to store your brush in a dry location, and optimally leave hanging for air flow to keep it in good condition. Not meant for use in water or during showering. Daily use is suggested, and even 2-3 times weekly is great, if that timing is what works for you. Find your detailed tutorial video below to welcome and guide you through dry brushing practices.

Gua Sha
Massage Tool
Health Benefits:
Your new Gua Sha tool is made from Bian Stone, which comes with its own healing properties, in addition to the therapeutic benefits Gua Sha massage practice. Bian stone is often considered one of the most potent tools in traditional Chinese medicine, and is believed to have originated from a meteorite impact in what is now Shandong Province, China, millions of years ago. It was formed under intense pressure and heat resulting from the meteor impact, giving it special physical and mineralogical properties. Its use in ancient traditional Chinese medicine dates back nearly 4,000 years valued for therapeutic practices like massage, acupuncture-like treatments, and scraping techniques similar to Gua Sha. Below you will find a simple introduction to daily facial Gua Sha massage practices that can support healthy lymphatic flow, detoxification, calm mind and spirit, releasing tension in the skin tissue fascia, resulting in amazing skin toning and glowing complexion.

Dry Brushing

Welcome to Dry Brushing Practices:
Key concepts to remember with this practice: setting aside even just 2–5 minutes daily, before showering is very transformative. Aim for daily use, and if you are dry brushing 2-3 times weekly, that's great! Start with dry skin. Using gentle, upward brush strokes, from the extremities towards the heart. Finish with your shower, ending with a cool water rinse. Varying temperatures from hot to cold is also helpful for stimulating lymphatic circulation. Follow your dry brushing with applying lymph love butter and gentle massage with hands or your Gua Sha tool. Enjoy the tutorial video below featuring the guidance of Dr. Jessica Renfer, N.D.

Gua Sha Massage

Welcome to Gua Sha Practices:
Gua Sha massage is absolutely delightful!! It's designed for light massage on well-lubricated skin (first apply the massage butter, serum, or oil), and recommended for use on face, neck, chest, underarms, groin, and any other concentrated lymph node areas. Daily practice is recommended for best results. Set aside 5-10 minutes of intentional relaxation, present and connected to breath. I most enjoy this practice daily before bedtime, with slow, sweeping motions. A little more about the benefits of your natural Bian Stone: Bian Stone has a unique composition, containing over 40 trace minerals and has been found to emit far-infrared radiation and ultrasonic pulses when rubbed against the skin; these properties that are believed to contribute to its healing effects, including: breaking up stagnation, relieving pain & tension, decreasing inflammation, increasing circulation, energy flow, and detoxification, due to its mineral composition and thermal conductivity. Gua Sha massage practices also enhance skin health by promoting collagen production, reducing puffiness, and improving skin tone. Enjoy the tutorial video below featuring the guidance of Alila Grace.
